About Dr. Jessica Hamilton

Dr. Jessica Hamilton is an assistant professor at Rutgers University. Dr. Hamilton works as a clinical psychologist, and her research focuses on finding risk factors for the onset of adolescent depression and suicide.

She has received national awards and recognition, including most recently being named a 2021 Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Science. Dr. Hamilton has over 60 journal publications and has contributed to several books on digital media and mental health. She is very active in professional service, advocacy, and outreach regarding mental health issues, particularly among the adolescent population.
